Don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm just wondering if there are more who feel this way.
Finding time to sit down and go through a good simulation is sometimes hard. I'm a student, so I'll fly maybe once every 2 weeks or so, and even on those occasions, I don't fly for too long. How about everyone else, what types of flights do you do? Short, medium, or long range? Also, how much time do you put into it? Any suggestions on how to get the best out of FS when I do get the opportunity? I like FS2K2 a lot, so sometimes it's difficult to know what one wants to do when the opportunity is there. Thanks for the replies.

I am also studying, so I don't have the time to fly
during the week. I will most likely fly during the week-end, on 2 or 3 hour flights, mostly in North America and Europe. I find long-haul flights boring, that's why I rarely fly them. Since FS2002 has arrived, I also enjoy flying in the bushes.
When I feel too lazy to fly, I spend time upgrading my FS2002, by downloading the best addons I can find on the web.

I have school, but when I finish my work, I usually fly for 2 hours every ohter day. Some days I will just do the preset flights. I fly like 2 hour flights. EWR-ATL. LAS-LAX. DCA-MCO. Like that.

Being a student with the end of the semester coming I find myself flying less and less... I am down to about an hour a day... from around two-three when I first got FS2k2.

I have school too and I can't find time to play too cause I bought this adventure generator called Visual Flight Designer 2000 and it's cool! I have over a lot of flights around the world I made. I mostly fly on the weekends or when I have time off from school like on days where there is no school and I play a lot during the summer. I like playing it cause it's fun and relaxing too. Being a student too is kinda hard too. Sometimes I play a little bit and do takeoffs and fly-bys and sometimes I don't play it at all.

I fly every day for at least an hour, sometimes taking a long haul flight or two across the south pacific and north pacific. I haven't crossed the Atlantic in FS yet.
I started flying everyday when I had FS5.1, and then FS98. I had FS2000 but then sold it.
So, let's see, I think I've been flying everyday, for at least an hour, since early 1997, sop that would put me at at least 1,460 hours that is if I only fly one hour a day. I'd bet my average flying time per day though over the years has been a good 3 hours a day, so let's put that figure up to 4,380 Total Hours I've Flown

I also find it boring to stay in cruise for long so I do short hall no longer than two hours to as short as fifteen minutes. I fly a lot on the weekends and ocausionally in the week.

I think I got an idea. I'm going to go ahead and go through the FS2k2 Private Pilot lessons/checkride again (passed the FS2000 one), those are short in duration. After that, well, I think I will do flights in a Cessna for about 30NM or so. Just enough to get up, cruise and practice a little navigation, and land.
That way well, I can balance my time in school and FS. Besides, when it comes to flying the bigger aircraft, it takes time, to prepare it, get it up to cruise, and than go a long distance. I'll do those later, but for now, I'm keeping it simple. Besides, FS2K2 has got nice scenery! With a Cessna, well, I can enjoy it more.
