Air Band Scanner

What is the best air-band scanner on the market. I would like one that is reliable and one that doesn't cost much. Also, which would connect to a normal pair of walkman-style headphones. Another thing that would be nice, but not necesary, is the ability to recieve UHF military frequencies. I'm the type of person that youde find hanging around an airport, and I'de like to listen in on the ops there. I take flying lessons, but I like to know what's going on when I'm not flying. Also, I spot right at the end of our runway (I stand next to the lead-in lights!) and I would like to know what's going on. Police/ambulance/fire/ham/cb and other bands are a plus... Thank you in advance.
