Is it me or whenever you settle down on FS and begin planning your next transatlantic or transpacific flight, begin flying, have everything setup perfectly for the long haul ahead.
Then suddenly one of your nearest and dearest announces they want to use the PC ARRGGHHH!!.
Of course you have to give in especially when its you mom, even though we have 3 PC's in our household, they want to use the one your using.
This has now happened to me 5 times and its very annoying, does this happen to anybody else???
Suppose i should look at the funny side

If you have your own PC (I mean yours, not just effectively yours until now), it's yours to use as you see fit
If it is the family machine, maybe it is time to make some arrangements (maybe a schedule about who can use it when).

if u thinkur unlucky try living here
four ppl in my house that allways want the computer, me my bro my sis and my mum. we have 2 working computers that are networked up. we tried to use a schedule but it was so dumb
it was like having a set time.
the fights are mostly bettween me and my sister.
now i plan the flight off the computer and then enter it quickly on the computer
(i have the planning charts and stuff)
all my sister does is sits here and downloads stupid tv dialogues and reads them, i think that FS 2002 has priority over that.

Hehehe I am a lucky bastard... I have my own PC and nobody touches it when im here, my mum doesnt know how to use it, and when my friends come here im not flying and if I am they only want to go on the net and my pc can handle both things. good old P3 500mhz
But... theres one thing I hate and that is when you are sitting there enjoying the scenery go along as you fly theres a phone call and (enter relative or friend name here) calls you to go pick them up or drive them to (insert destination place here) and then you have to save the flight and finish it later (thing that i hate the most) but after all I can do my flights peacefully

my parents only know one thing about computers and it's how to ckeck e-mail, which they rarely do. My bro and sisters are living on their own now so I have the computer for me and only me. That's cool isn't it

No, I'm lucky. I do find though that I get annoyed when I'm tired because then I stuff up somewhat, so it does restrict me that way. I'm glad it has the P [pause] feature so if I get interupted or the phone rings as I am approaching to land I don't ruin the flight! The autopilot is good for breaks too.

I used to have only 1 comp, b4 i got my own, now i can go on very long haul flights (so long i can go to work, come back and itll still b running just in-time for descent) as though pilots would do that in real life tho lol
