The annual aviation fair is starting again at EMA (East Midlands Airport.)
Taken from the east midlands airport website:
"There will be over eighty stalls offering items with an aviation-related theme, including stamps, books, radios, videos, computer programmes and stickers, as well as photographic equipment and telescope demonstrations.
Pleasure flights will be on offer throughout the day. For a cost of £37 visitors can step on board a Fokker 100 or Embraer, both British Midland aircraft, for a twenty five-minute flight around the region.
Said Steve Gensler, Managing Director, Airtrans and event organiser: "The fair attracts literally thousands of visitors, becoming an annual event due to its popularity. This year promises to be the biggest one the Airport has ever hosted."
"One of the most popular attractions will be the pleasure flights that are on offer and they are always particularly popular with those wanting to try flying for the first time."
The event is open to the public at 10 am and will close at 5 pm. Pleasure flights will be operating throughout the day and seats are pre-bookable in advance by contacting Steve Gensler on 01332 852915."

A pleasure flight on a bmi Fokker 100? That's a contradiction in terms isn't it? Bloody awful aircraft, the seats are so damn flimsy, if you put your table up too hard in the back row whoever's in Row 1 bangs their nose on the bulkhead!!
