How To Find My Airport?

Hi,

Yesterday I flew on fs2000 with a Beech King Air 350 and I took off from ZRH (Zurich) to MXP (Milan Malpensa).

The view during my flight was really nice, all the mountains were covered with snow.

I never managed to keep my plane straight.

then I had a problem, as there is no ATC to give you instructions, I didnt know when to start descending.

Finally, I didnt know how to find my airport.

I think that I miss a lot of theory in flying, please can anyone help me and give me some tips. Confused

Also, Please can you tell me what is the slew mode doing?

I used GPS non stop, but I couldnt keep my a/c straight.

im an experienced sim pilot and im only 15.

but then again if u dont want to do that heres simply what u do to find ur airport.
find out the frequency of the VOR at ur airport. write it down. when u are flying open the radio stack and on nav 1 and 2 put in those digits and make them active.
then turn the vor indicator around untill the needle centers and the arrow points forward. then look at the 2 numbers at the to[p and fly so that ur compasss reads those numbers.

alot of info i know but it gets simple as u get more experience.

errr...about SLEW mode

it positions your aircraft where you want it to be.

say, you decided to (quickly) move your aircraft from the runway to the gate. By using the Left,Right,Up,Down buttons you can move it there.

When you're done, press [Y] to resume on the ground/flying.

You should try using the autopilot and set the altitude for a certain level. That will help keep the plane straight.
