I can't respond to either Dazed767's or Rotate 777's post, so here we go (again!). I am waiting for cards from Continental and America West still. I might be receiving stuff from Lauda and CSA, etc.

When you say you are "expecting" safety cards.... Does that mean you simply e-mailed them and expect they will send you what you ask for or did you get a response informing you that you are being sent something by that airline?
Assuming things doesn't work when writing to airlines. They don't owe anybody anything in the way of safety cards. Too many of these new collectors write demanding letters, turning airlines off to the hobby.
Just curious.... how many of you safety card collectors out there trade?
I don't really consider somebody a collector until they are trading for their cards, and working to get them, not just standing there accepting/demanding freebies.
Just a note of etiquette: When I send somebody my collection list, the last thing I want is a reply, ALL IN CAPS, DEMANDING that I send them about 20 cards out of my personal collection for free. I got my 1600 different cards and 250 doubles by working, bartering, buying. Sorry, but I'm not sending out part of my collection for free to anybody who asks (I'm not naming names here... but FIVE people from this forum sent me such demand lists and I summarily told them where to shove their demands).
If anybody wants my significant tradelist, or a copy of my full collection list (on the terms that you won't start demanding freebies from it), please e-mail me.
I know there are many reputable new traders in this forum (such as Jeff, Yoni, Brandon, Fabian to name just a few).

The Manager of Customer Relations at NWA told me he would send me a few cards this week. The rest of the cards I posted are ones I bought from the collector or from ebay. I don't expect any cards from the airlines, but I'll take anything I can get.

Jason is right. We shouldn't keep milking the airlines for safety cards. When I first started collecting, I emailed the airlines just to start everything off. Now I trade and buy. The cards I listed before I got from buying and trading.
Northwest is also going to send me a fourth batch of safety cards soon. But that's it. They told me that they would. But that's probably the last time I'll be asking Northwest because I have asked them to many times.
If you want to get some safety cards, try eBay. They have a lot of good cards there, and some for cheap.

Ebay is a rip off, but I still use it. I mainly go for the older cards, or dead airlines. Current cards like an AirFrance A320 sometimes starts at like $3.99 and can go higher, and I think that's too much. Then you have to pay shipping, which is a few more bucks. Like Jason told me, you can go to a show, and get the same card for .50 cents to $1. But I guess for those who can't get to a card show like that, it's worth it.
