I'm very interested in flying FS2002 by POSKY 744 and PSS744 panel+sound. I often do flights with real departure time and arrival time. And mostly I like to do flights in daytime as I can see more sceneries in the cockpit, like airports, rivers, towns, cities, etc. Especially I like to fly Sydney to Hong Kong by either Cathay or Qantas as they both depart and arrive at daytime. Do you have any favourite routes by flying 744 in FS? Or do you have any suggestions on which daytime route by 744 have nice sceneries? Thank you very much for answering.

Yeah, I just did QF127 (which you took in March) in FS2002 two days ago! Most of the time was in dark until around 1-2 hours before arrival (It's in winter in SYD now). And it took me 9 hours and 1 min. Slightly delayed from reality which takes only 8 hours 50 mins. But I would like to know if it met the reality? Hope to hear from you soon.

Mr.BA, yeah, it's very long haul route! Did you put full fuel into the tanks? I bet you did! But I think the plane should have decreased ZFW. Do you use PSS744 panel with it? I tried to fly it with PSS744 panel. However, I can't input those GPS into the FMC. So I gave it up!

I am able to, I plan the flight by using IFR high altitude airways. I plan it at FL 370 probably. I'll climb to FL 280 initially, then from there I'll try to keep close to Opt alt. Well sometimes not, as in real life you don't always get the alt you want Yes, I am using the PSS panel. On this route I will always ave full tank of fuel at a lighter ZFW. My plane is always at MTOW. I just love the long take-off!

Hey Alan, the reality between really flying these routes and in FS is obviously not the same, but in saying that FS2002 isnt to bad at re-creating some of the effects and weather/lighting conditions experianced. Once had a seriously strong headwind on the HKG-SYD flight and it took me around 10 hours and 25 minutes instead of the usual 9 odd hours. Also with a nice tail wind and a hihger cruise speed of mach 0.87 i managed to do the same flight in a little over 8 hours on Flightsim
Not quite the same as flying it in real life but hey, its the next best thing!
Hope your well.

I follow the game with ATC till after take-off. I acknowledge the instruction to tune to departure but never contacts it. I file for a high level too, so when I'm ready to contact ATC near destination I would be high. Since I am using the PSS panel, I play with SIDS and STARS wehnever available. Fun!
Just flew SIN - AKL... left SIngapore 36 minutes late and inbound AKL 23 minutes late.
