XP is good, absolutely nothing to complain about considering the alternatives (Linux, Mac). If MS is as bad as everyone claims, why do people still use it?

Because MS hasn't produced Flight Sim for the Macintosh... Big grin

I guess a fact that I neglected to mention is that the OS rarely crashes, its more the programs that crash the OS.

A crashing OS is the best sign of a faulty setup, period.

uhh.. XP is crap, it has real bad compatability problems (check: half my computer isn't compatible with Windows XP), and the menu system and whole layout sucks, and is a blatent copy of Linux. I use Windows ME and never have had a problem with it, its never once crashed on me and my computer has an uptime right now of 43 days, 11 hours, 23 minutes and 9 seconds (its probably more now ha ha ha).

I think that the software you put on your HDD, and the way you treat your computer, and the hardware you buy, all adds up to why your version of windows crashes so much (i've never had any problem with any microsoft windows version, or any microsoft product, only XP and it not having drivers for my sound and graphics card.).

Dan  Smile

I had ME for about 2 years and I can't tell you how many times i just wanted to throw my pc against the wall because of everything crashing... netscape, ie, word, photoshop, fs2002 etc... you name it, it all crashed on me.

That's why I love my XP Pro. The built in compatability feature is great, I can play old games that had trouble even running on windows ME... wow. And not to mention the new multi-user, networking, ftp, and remote desktop features. Wouldn't give up XP for anything!

ME was pretty bad. XP is leaps and bounds better than ME. No problems here, just older software and hardware may not work the way it should...

No memory dumps, my pc has been on for about 4 weeks now, and no deterioration in performance. Great!

Hit 'PRINT SCREEN' and go into MSPaint or similar Graphics Editor and hit CTRL-V to paste the image and you're set.

As for computers go, I'm very faithful to 98SE. I never seem to encounter problems with it, so I stick with it. My bro has XP, which he likes, and if I ever feel the need to upgrade I will. But if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I should have been more specific, PRINT SCREEN is located on your keyborad, above the INSERT , HOME and PAGE UP.

Uhh...

For the person that wants a FS2002 screenshot (or any screenshot of any application you want to 'shoot')

[PRINTSCREEN/SYSRQ] button will *copy* what's on-screen to your clipboard (not save it into a file). You have to use a paint program, after that, to Edit > *paste* your shot to see it.

Do modifications to your pic or just save it...
