Maycom AR-108 Airband Scannerq

I've decided, i'm going for the Maycom AR-108 Airband Scanner.
(Getting it from here: http://www.wsplc.com)
Just one question though, can it pick up LHR tower with the frequency it has?
One site says it has 136Mhz - 180Mhz
(Which I dont think will be able to pick up LHR tower) and another website says it has 108Mhz-136Mhz Airband, 136Mhz to 180Mhz VHR frequency.

If this doesn't pick up LHR tower, can I buy an Aerial that will be able to?
(I'm not saying I want to pick up LHR tower from my house as I live in the East Midlands (126 miles away from London) I'm saying will I be able to pick up LHR tower if I go down there to visit?)

I bought the same scanner here in Calgary, Canada and yes, it does cover the 108-136 MHZ airband. Its quite a good scanner too. Enjoy Big thumbs up

Any good?
Would I hear the aircraft flying over my house with one of those radios?

I've just seen a AR-108N (Nicad version)
I'm thinking of getting this one but is there much price difference?
