I finally got it a beautiful 24" Mahogany Model of the Boeing SST. Its Painted in UA colors from the Late 1970's and early 80's. The wings swing and everything. I've been trying to bid on this for months! They have other airlines too, TWA, Eastern etc.

I think it has to do w/ the livery. The original UA model that i was out bid on was the circus wagon livery of the early seventies, about the time when the airplane was supposed to enter service. It had white wings as well. That would not surprise me as the Concorde has white wings to radiate heat off the airplane. The Boeing SST would have probably incorporated that as well depending on the livery of the airline.

Ok I just tool delivery of the model from the mail. This thing is gorgeous. this will be an heirloom that I will pass to my kids someday.
Couple of unusual things I've noticed from the model:
The engines are attached to the tail. the 2707 really has no horizontal stablilizers because the engines are there. Secondly the fuselage flares out from the nose and narrows again toward the wing so the shape is like an elongated bowling pin.

Hey I did notice that. The original UA paint job that I was out bid on was the red whit and blue circus wagon sceme of teh early seventies the tailstripe angle was too sharp I pointed this out to the seller who agreed and I belive they fixed it. You should tell him he'll fix it.
