Hello

On some very realistic planes like the POSKYs with realistic FDEs, it is hard to get to FL410 on an A332 at MTOW straight away but if you dont, the ATC will terminate you. Sooooo ppl, do you just ignore the ATC and fly VFR?

Whats the difference flying IFR or VFR?

Thanks

This has been covered many times,Try doing a search.

Just so you know a A330 cant climb to FL410 at MTOW, FL280 is more like it.

Sinlock, I understand that but step climb is missing and yet the plane will eventually have to cruise at FL410. That's why I chose to have FL410 rather than being stuck on FL280 on the whole 10 hour flight...

Now I am just wondering what others do to compensate the lack of step climb as a feature in FS2k2?

I've tried a search but I only saw a few on the B767s....

Like the man said, search back a while. It's been discussed several times both here and elsewhere.

Since you aren't able to find the topic, I'll try to explain it to you. It is impossible to keep your IFR while flying with ATC instructions. Let's say you want FL410 as your final level. File and save it for FL 410. In ATC clearance you'll be instructed to to climb FL410, but don't worry about that first. Well follow instructions till you want to take-off and when airborne ATC will hand you off to another center/departure. Acknowledge, but don't call on the next center. Just continue flying. Contact them before descent, by then, you should be at FL 410.
