Hey all,
Just installed FS2002 (yes, I know, I'm behind the drag curve) but can't get any ATC sound or pilots voices. I've checked all the boxes (pilot's voice etc), and been through the OPTIONS, SETTINGS menus and whacked up the sliders but still nothing. Also, I'm lacking engines spooling up, flaps running out etc. Is there a common denominator here? HELP!!

I had the same problem when I first started. I cant remember the address to the instructions on how to fix it, so Im goning to try and explain this to the best of my ability. Go to the control panel for your computer and open add/remove programgs. one of the tabs at the top will show you the different things you have installed on your computer. Under multimedia, your "sound compression" is not installed. Click the check box next to it and follow the on screen instructions. Im sorry I cannot be more specific, but I am on a Mac right now. Hope this helps.

KLM672 - thanks and yes, the speakers are on
Jason - thanks. I tried to follow your instructions but don't have tabs on my install/uninstall window. Will continue looking for the sound compression box elsewhere!! If you have any alternative instructions, please advise
