Hello all!
Well if anybody's been reading the civil aviation forum for the past few weeks, you'll find that I've been doing alot of new things with Pacific World Airways. The latest developement is the introduction of the new livery.
but first, for people who don't know PWA, I'll go into detail as to exactly who we are!

Pacific World Airways was established in 1998, as a new airline idea built upon the old foundations of Utah Trans West airlines. UTW was to be a domestic US carrier based in Salt Lake City, Utah. It would serve the west using fares that matched the major's, but offered excellent service. Soon I found a new love. A love of the Pacific. It started when I got my first copy of Flight Sim 98 and began flying my Cessna Skyhawk 182 around Johnston Atoll, Midway Island, and Hawaii.
Soon my sights turned to the Pacific, and I bid good-bye to the old UTW idea, for a new airline, Trans Pacific Airlines. However, I soon found out that this name was already taken, and simply re-named the airline Pacific World Airways.
That, was only the beginning.
Today, many things have changed, and I'd like to share them with you.

I have spent literally years looking at every atlas I could get of the world, studying city locations, ranges, routes, and looking into governments, cultures, languages, etc. And I've learned alot. And my initial plan for our first routes has changed by far from it's original, quite ambitious plan. Today, the much revised plan has been worked over many times to make sure that it will be successful, and I think, just maybe, this is our final plan.
Our first routes, to be flown by Airbus aircraft, will be these:
Oakland, California, to Tokyo Haneda airport, plus return flight, once daily, using an Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
Honolulu, Hawaii, to Oakland, California, using an Airbus A330-200 Combi aircraft.

Honolulu to Tokyo Haneda, using an Airbus A330-200 Combi aircraft.

Honolulu to San Diego using an A330-200C.

And finally Tokyo Haneda to either Santiago, Buenos Aires, Caracas, or Bogota, south America, via Honolulu. Why such a braod specturm? Because each of these cities has equal potential. I'll explain later.

You may ask, why Airbus? Well, there are many factors involved. First you must consider that an startup needs to save money. We can't afford to maintain 747s, we can't afford to purchase 777s. but we still need economical aircraft, for a low price.
Airbus offers an exclusive deal. If we are a startup airline, and we're interested in a 5-year sole-supplyer contract, airbus will cut us 40% off the purchase price of brand-new Airbus aircraft.
Our initial order will be two A332s, and two A343s. We get four aircraft for the price of two and a half! What a deal!
Maintenance is cheap on Airbus aircraft, they have the quietest cabin in the sky, and according to polls, the most comfortable seating.
Speaking fo seating, how would you like 30" of pitch in economy? Well, we'll mmet that mark or supass it, giving you, the customer, the utmost of comfort for your long journey.

So, what do we have to offer YOU, the customer? Well, we have a sure deal for you.
We do not offer lower fares than the major airlines. But why? We feel that the major airlines treat you unfairly, they do not give you the most for your buck. We are pioneers, radicals in the system, and we will fraise standards for you....forever.
Consider this, for the ticket fare of the leading airline, if you are an economy passenger, you can expect a rude lfight attendant, disinterested pilots, poor-quality food, and very little room for you, on a long, long flight across the Pacific. Let's be honest, THAT'S UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!
So, we will change it all for you. OurPacificBreeze(R) economy class traveller will experience only the best!
For meal services, we offer an delicious three course meal. First course consists of a delicious fruit plate, with a melady of tropical fruits, including diced strawberries, mango, orange, peach, kiwi, cherry, watermelon, honeydew, banana, and passion fruit. Yum!
Second course is your main course. Featured in our PacificBreeze class, we offer a choice of Grilled Teryaki Chicken Stir Fry with rice, or battered Grilled Halibut fillets (3) served with rice. All entrees are served with one warm roll on the side. Delicious!
And finally, the third course consists of your desert. However, dessert is an option, and the price is not included in your ticket.
Our dessert choices are:
Chocolate cake ($2.00)
Ice Cream (Small cup: 50 cents, large cup, $1.00)

First Class passengers are featured a four-course meal.
First course consits of a fruit plate (with larger helping than economy pax)with cheese on the side.
second course is a fresh tossed salad, with dressing of your choice.
Third course is the main course, featuring a choice between Fillet Mingon, or Asian chicken over noodles.
Finally, your fourth course is your dessert. Dessert prices are included in you ticket fare.
Our dessert choices consist of:
Strawberry shortcake drenched in rum, cheesecake with strawberry topping, chocolate mousse, or gourmet ice cream.

More info:
Pacific World Airways features PTVs at every seat. With your PTV, you can watch the inflight movie, flip to your favorite sitcom, or catch the the saturday night game.

All headsets are 100% FREE!!!!!!

And finally, our friendly pilots and flight attendants will mkae you feel like part of the family. Relax at the gate as out pilot talks about interesting places to see and visit at your destination, and FA's share experiences that can help you on your vacation.

And for a final tidbit, have a look at our flying colors.
As you can see, we've gone out of our way to let you see how colorful the Pacific can be. From the deep blues of the lagoons and turquoise pools, to the ever-changing foliage of the the tropical plants of the south Pacific, to the dark evergreen forests of North America. All set atop the dark, dark blue of the vast Pacfic ocean, with a lone voyager sailing to the sunset, on an adventure, as yourself.

If a picture is worth a thousand worlds, then here are three thousand!!

So, what do you think? Like the colors? The logo? The AIRLINE??

Lend me your thoughts!!!!

Hello my friend! Let me say that I love the colors of the engines on the A340. That's pure gorgeous. About the actual airline, how do come up with 30" of pitch? That is 2" under the standard. I have done more research in interior design of aircraft more than anything else because I feel that the cabin comfort is the most important part of an airline (especially for a long haul). I would suggest you give an extra inch of standard pitch bringing the number up to 33". That would be nice! ANA, and JAL I believe still have a 34" pitch and now AA is between 33-35 depending on aircraft. Email me later and we'll discuss this stuff more in depth. I would also like to talk about your Japan-South America plans. ttyl

Nice colours on the engines, Tui International needs a Trans Pacific connection and would be interested a code share agreement with your airline. email me if you are interested in talking routes.

Hi all!
About the seat pitch. I don't know the industry standard. I thought it was 28", and I was going to increase it by 2". I was in aa DL727 earlier this month, and seat pitch looked and seemed like six inches!!!

Now that you tell me, though, I'll be putting in about 34" of leg room in economy. How's that?

Hey, I need some input. Anybody want to fly for PWA? What do you think of the airline's livery? Remember, this is going to be a real airline, not a virtual airline, so these colors will be seen in real life.

Also, does anybody want to FLY on the airline? Or would you rather fly United?

I've been hearing alot of negative stuff on the airline's colors. I've been hearing that there's too many colors, that the plane looks like someone puked on it.
Personally, I think the colors are drop-dead gorgeous!!!
:D
What do you think?

Soon I'll post the old colors. The old colors were alot less loud than these. Take the planes above. Now, eliminate the sunset, the ship, and the band of many colors. Then, color the band of many colors solid red. Take the psychadellic blue and tunr it teal. Now, erase the swoop of blue and turquoise that starts behind the forward gear and ends at the rear fuselage.

Sound boring?

You be the judge. I'll have a photo for you soon!!
