I have the game and it seems that all default aircraft textures are really blurry. I have downloaded replacements for a number of them and they seem to be normal - but some other new aircraft I've downloaded are blurry too.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so - is there a solution?

I really want to get FS2004, but I don't know how it will work with my graphics card. It's the ATI Radeon Pro 9000.

P4 2.4G
ATI Radeon 9000
256Mb RAM
40Gb H/D
Win XP

Were ATI supposed to release some drivers for that card?
Anyone have any screenshots taken with the Radeon 9000?

you are going to need much more ram. I've got the radeon 9700 and 1Gb of ram and I get a minimum 7fps with full clouds and everything on max or extra dense and addon scenery enabled. FS2k4 is so impressive with everything set on max that I just can't fly any other way. With my particular set up on 2k2 my frame rates were minimum 18fps. Bottom line, GET SOME RAM! 256mb will not do it

I have 512mb and it is still blurry. Could it be something else?

Your computer probably doesnt support MIp maps. I had to download a program called imagetool (which I believe comes with FS2002pro) off a friend of mine.

Then there is a complex process of de mip-mapping each texture file. Very arduous. I suggest you go to the airliners chat room - someone should be able to give your progressive help there.
