The EWR monorail will be out of service, so people going to/from the EWR show on September 8/9 will have to use PA busses from the airline terminals to monorail station E, where you catch the van shuttle to the hotel.
Yes. Here's the text from the PA web site:
After Labor Day, service on the entire system will be suspended for several months.
We regret this service interruption while Adtranz - the Port Authority contractor responsible for operating and maintaining the system - makes essential repairs.
Airport customers can learn about the status of the monorail before leaving for the airport by calling the airport's automated phone system at 888-EWR-INFO.
At the Airport
Prominently displayed orange signs will direct customers to special Monorail Bypass Buses.
More than 50 Monorail Bypass Buses will provide frequent transportation to and from rental car companies, Parking Lots D and E, Valet Parking, and access to hotel and off-airport parking shuttles.
More than 100 additional Red-jacketed Customer Service Representatives have been assigned to answer questions and provide assistance to customers.
Customers can tune in the on-airport radio system, 530 AM, for updated information.
Please allow at least 30 extra minutes of travel time above and beyond what your airline recommends.
