Can someone please explain to me why when I fly either POSKY or Meljet planes in Fs2004 why the Yaw Damper switch will not work at all they worked fine in FS2002 but not they don't work at all and landing is quite difficult. The problem has occurred with the POSKY 744,762,763 and the Meljet 744 and 777.
Is there a way to fix this?

I know why - they're FS2002 aircraft, and not everything is upward-comptable.

Perhaps you missed a file while copying them into FS2004? I have the Meljet 747, I flew a flight last night EWR-LHR, and everything worked out fine.

It seems to work with the default 747-400 and the 777-300 jets that come with the game. I assume that FS2004 doesn't understand the FS2002 models exactly like FS2002

Okay, here we go! You can add it by right clicking START,program files , FS9 , Aircraft , then click on the aircraft you want to add yaw damper to. Then click on the white & blue 'aircraft' folder , locate under [autopilot] the line that says 'yaw_damper_gain=0.000000 ' ,change it to 1.000000, then save . This will now allow the switch to work. Some panels/planes do not have a 'yaw_damper_gain' line in the config, but you can add it under the [autopliot] line .
The above file can also be used to change the 'manufacturer' of the plane from 'PROJECT OPENSKY' to 'Boeing' , so all your Boeings line up.
Hope this helps!
