Apparently, that's what 707cmf is attempting to do presently.
Does anybody else indulge in other activities while flying their simulator ?

UTA, confused.

Well, 707 is not the only one browsing the forums while simming. My other activities while doing flight simulator are studying, cleaning my room from time to time, MSN or sometimes I'm even sleeping.

Kind regards,

Jeroen

I sit in front of my monitor for eight hours straight without getting up. Big grin

No really I sometimes study for my checkrides and written exams or do other things like browse airliners.net

Oh UTa, I noticed something on your profile. A Cessna 172 is a Skyhawk and 182 is a Skylane.

Hi William,

When I'm flying one of my round-the-world legs in full-screen mode, I use VPN to browse the web via the FS kneeboard. It's less functional than a regular browser but it's still good to visit Airliners.net, go through the latest pics and post comments in the different forums  Wink/being sarcastic

Greetings,
Ivan

Hey guys why don't you just increase the simulation rate?

nahhh, simulation rate is just a step too far from simulating in my opinion...

Totally removes the feeling of going somewhere far away...

I agree KLM777 I can never bring myself to adjusting the simulation rate. It takes away from the realsim.

And yep! I'm guilty too - I play FS, download planes, use MSN and surf A.Net all the time! No wonder I have no time to study for exams!

Cheers - Skytrain.

When I minimise my FS screen, it automatically pauses, therefore meaning I can't fly while doing anything else on my computer.

If you go into the settings you can turn off the 'pause when minimised' feature - quite handy.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW
CHAT OPERATOR

things i do while flying long hauls:

watch TV
forum browse
chat/IM
do normal life things (aka eat, sleep, go out...)
sometimes i even play solitare (cant really play anything else much, FS eats up too much).

Oh yeah, i do mean sleep BTW, i've done 10/12 hour FS flights (KATL-FACT, KATL-RJAA recently). Takeoff, get to altitude, wait for ATC change over, do the change over trick... go to bed... wake up, check how flight is doing, contact ATC, descend, land... easy  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
