Hi,, up till 2 days ago i was running FS2004 on my laptop (P4 2.4 Ghz, 1048 MB Ram, 60 gb hd, 64 mb ATI AGP 346) until suddenly framerates decreased dramatically. I tried rolling back the video card driver and just recently tryed to install new GART software. Anyone have some possible causes and/or solutions? thanks

Try updating your Audio drivers, and make sure you have the latest Chipset drivers too, you should be able to get both from the manufacturer of the laptop.

Here is where you will find your config file, of course you will have to substitute "Bill" for your user name. The following is the path to mine.
C:Documents and SettingsBillApplication DataMicrosoftFS9
and this assumes you let the app install in the suggested folders....
Once deleted, just start FS9... It will create another config file on start up, restoring all original settings... A problem if you have "tweaked" your config settings!
