I got AIRLINE 5 now for about two weeks and set up a huge worldwide network. While every aircraft which flies long-hauls is profitable, all aircraft which served short-haul routes never made any profit. I tried to serve big cities like LHR, but never was able to make money with that kind of routes (even without another airline actually serving this destination).
Does anybody of you know how I do make my aircrafts profitable on short-haul flights?

Make sure you set the prices correctly. The default pricing for the game is extremely high and you may get a very poor load factor for a high priced short route. I fly dozens of RJ's from my hubs at MIA, LAX, and PHL and make at least 2-4million on each aircraft.
