Spotting At CLT From The Hill On The West Side?

I visited some friends years ago (maybe 15 years or so) and they took me to a hill on hte west side of the airport and the view was awesome.

Is that viewing point still there? If so, I may make another visit later this year.

If memory serves they are looking at building a new runway to the west of the currant runway, is this still in the planning process?

Hello ATCBOY 73 That place is still there I was there today/03/16. I am thinking of going again tomorrow. There is a pretty good spot off the road the other spot is off of(can't remember the road name sorry) that if the planes are landing on 18 on the left side of the runway you can get some good head on shots and belly shots. 727LOVER which new runway are you talking about?
