It's happened on a couple of occasions. Sometimes I am flying and FS will stop and go to the desktop page in a second or so. It does not even have the minimized thing at the bottom of the screen, it just disappears completely during mid-flight. Why and how do I fix it?
It has only happened on a couple of many occasions but would be nice to know.
Thanks

Are you using FDSFX? I had it do that 4 times in a row on the AMS-MAN leg, I got rid of it and it started working.
I have had it do that once before during cruise as well - never found out what caused it to do that.
Let me guess you're on windows XP too?

I think it's CTD - Crash To Desktop. A well known problem in FS2004. I posted a thread about it here, there are some very good replies however I don't think it is possible to completely erase the problem. Here's the thread:

Phil-yes I am using XP but I don't have the faintest clue what FDSFX is.
DC-10- I think it's that, it's a stinker that you can't erase it fully, but oh well

FDSFX is Flight Deck - Sound eFfeX, it is a really cool tool which has announcments and boarding music and you just click the switches (Comes with a few skins to match different panels).
It does it to me when I try and change the payload or fuel on the FFX DC-10 and now the A.NET Airlines (K.H) 737-800.

Right this second I'm supposed to be in bed for the final few hours sleep for the next 3 days but since I've been dragged out to do a favour.....
I'll e-mail you them ok? - they are big (over 2MB). I'll host them somehow tomorrow as well as forward them to Tim.
FDSFX is found on Avsim.
