Hi all !!!
For anyone in Britain that can receive Channel 5 there is a programme on tonight at 10pm called Aircrash Investigation. It looks like a new series, tonights is about that Air Transat A330 (super Glider) that made an emergency landing in the Azores.
I would like to meet that pilot who handled the aircraft, such skill !!!!
He deserves all the praise and money for what he did. Did he receive an Airmanship award? I cant remember, I hope he did.

Ah I'm glad this is on Channel 5 tonight, my mate told me he saw it on Sky last week and I was gutted I missed it. Sounds really interesting with it being about the Air Transat Glider.

I cant believe what happened last night!! (no not that). I started the thread last night to inform anyone of the programme that didnt know. Sat there, nice cold beer, fresh pizza and for the first time ever I had my other half watching an aircraft programme with me, we are really getting into the programme when half way through - POWER CUT!!!!!!!!
I could not believe it, two hours the electric went off, missed the rest of the programme and the beer in the fridge was in danger of getting warm.
I dont have satelite TV (well I do but I cant say) so it looks like I will have to wait for it to come on again.

Anyone remember the programme BlackBox, that was a pretty good and imformative series, just been watching the film about the 737 over Hawaii when the fuselage blew-out "Miracle Landing" its called, was on C5, some dodgy special effects, but some great ones too.

I will agree with you on the special effects. A bit "thunderbirds", but great skill to the crew. Black Box was a very informative programme and no doubt will be on again soon.
