Instead of the usual jet reports, I decided to go with a helicopter Smile

About the trip

I decided to fly in my private heli to Liverpool. I was taking a few mates so needed the room Smile

I picked a bad day to fly, with the weather in LPL Big grin

The report

Weather: Real World
BLK: winds calm, few clouds
LPL: strong winds!, rain

OK......As I arrived at my Heli, the engines were already started for me by the pilot before. We opened all the doors and everyone got on.

We were all loaded and the doors were shut. We began our air taxi to Rwy28.

I was cleared for takeoff, and so off we went.

We stayed close to the sea for a bit.

As we got near LPL the weather turned bad SadWe were flying VFR, but when I asked LPL for landing instructions, I was told that the airport was currently IFR! So, I opened up a flight plan to Liverpool and we were back in business Smile

As we got closer to the airport, the wind got really bad Sad

Yey! Were out of the clouds Smile

Touchdown

Because of the very strong wind, I did not hover long and I didn't air taxi to my parking!

As I left the runway, I was told to hold my position as the Ryanair going to Dublin taxied past

I parked up and shut down the engines while everyone got off.

I haven't painted my private heli yet, so I just used this one.

That's my first helicopter trip report Smile

Hope you liked it Smile

Any questions or comments welcome Smile

I've heard parts of Liverpool are quite rough and bad places, but, was it necessary to take so much ammo?

steve.
