The website dissapeared a few days ago. Ive emailed miller but havent got a reply, hopefully he will either spot this post or reply and tell us all whats going on. I just took delivery of 20 ERJ145s and had a few more A320s due...

This was the crucial time for me too - was due for 8 more ERJ145's (wish I'd gone with the ATR72 based on it's lower seat cost per flight), 20 more 717's and I 12 A330's - though luckily those aren't due for delivery for like 9 months. Was trying to ovetake Blue Star - my apparant arch rival (I'm Globespan.)

Hey splitzer, what do you mean "apparent" arch rival? We seemed to join at the same time and grew at similar rates. It was fun watching us constantly chaning places in the airline rankings each month as new aircaft were delivered. We only compete on a few routes though, as we both have different hubs. You were at manchester and I was at gatwick so we were both british airlines I suppose, but then i shifted focus to Rome.
Ive got a few A330s on order too. We seem to have similar fleets, except I went for the Airbus A320/A319 instead of 717.
airline Empires is an online airline management game (which has just dissapeared (see below))
Wheres it gone?
I just did a whois search and it turns out the domain name is "locked" as its expired. that means the game is still running but the domain name is not pointing to it. Does anyone happen to know the IP address for the server???
Im guessing Miller22 is away at the moment as hes not replied to my email, i hope he gets back soon and fixes the domain name....

Nighthawk, I see you as my main threat in my goal to becoming the world's biggest carrier - seriously though it's fun having someone spurring me along and keeping the game interesting, I mean I can't let you become the premier airline in Europe without a fight.
AmericanAirFan, if you want to join, when the site is back up, you have to email Miller22 and ask as the game is currently in Alpha and thus doesn't have all the features it will well finished. (However Miller22 is doing a fantastic job adding new features!). That aside, it's really addictive, even if it's rather basic at the moment: basic rent gates, buy planes and schedule planes.

Splitzer: Most european airports are pretty much full up now, unless miller releases a few more gates (which I feel he should do, the poor new airlines are only left with Budapest-Bucharest .)
I havent really got into long-haul yet, ive got a single flight to washington i think with an MD11 and ive got a few more parked up in a hanger. It quotes as having a range of 6,000nm yet cant make cities 4,500m away. You noticed that?
I guess ill just wait until the A330s come.
I spent all night creating a spreadsheet to keep track of all the destinations im serving and the freqs only to log on and find no site.
I have to say its one of the best airline management games ive played. Ive tried a few PC games and a few online, and every time ive got bored after a few days. Im still hooked on this one! Others had far more features including full scheduling systems, however this gme is just so simple you spend your time enjoying the game rather than thinking up schedules!

What a weekend to leave town!!!!!
Geesh, with all of these posts and the situation this weekend, you'd think I was an absentee landlord. Spent the weekend at my friends wedding in Indiana and when I return all hell's broken loose. I apologize to all of the players of Airline Empires and would like to reassure everybody that the website will be back up shortly (if it isn't already).
Apparently the host did not renew the domain which resulted in you seeing the screen you did. Trust me, if you were shocked when you saw it, imagine my suprise! The situation has been resolved, nasty letters have been sent, and all should be back to normal very soon.
The good news is that no data has been deleted. I'm not sure if the game was progressing during the time the domain name was unregistered, but worst case we would have to return to the game as it was last Tuesday as thats the last time I took a backup. Also the forum should return with all of the invaluable information that has been posted so far.
I'll repost once I've caught up with everything, since its now 1:00 am and I've some catching up to do in order to get the game ticking again.

The range of the MD11 is fine, it is the fact that you run out of hours before you run out of range. Someone one the forum on the site had a way of doing it by scheduling a one-flight or something. Wish I knew fully.
Oh as a tip to ANYONE, don't bother buying the MD11 like I did - save your money and buy a more efficient aircraft like the A330
Nearly forgot, that isn't an excuse to kick-off an A vs D or A vs B war. You can never be too careful around here

Looks like the domain hasn't fully been transferred yet, but I'll be working with the host all day to get that done. Apparently it must be a 9-5/Monday-Friday thing.
For those who have requested Alpha Testing passwords within the last five days, please do so again once the site is back up. Along with the domain name went my Airline Empires email addresses so more than likely your emails won't be received.
I'll post again once we're up and running and we can move the topic over to the Ae webboard.
