Hello,
Just a quick question, I've been trying to find a good airline management game and I haven't had much luck so far, does any know of any good ones? I did find "airliner CEO", which I believed is programmed in Australia, but aside from that, not much. I know there were a few some years back, but I haven't heard of anything since.
Basically I'm looking for a game where you start with a small airline and build it from the ground up.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check out airlinesimulation.com. They'e just released version 5.1, which has tons of extra features compared to version 5. In a couple of weeks, version 6 will come out. It will have all the same features as v5.1, and more! However, v6 will only run on Windows XP, and 2000, whereas v5.1, will run on ME, 98, etc.
You can lease aircraft, buy aircraft, schedule routes, configure the aircraft, buy, or lease hub facilities, contract catering companies, make alliances with car rental companies and hotels, and tons of other stuff!

There is also one that is more detailed and accurate that is currently in development by a different company.

Sure InnocuousFox, but we are always waiting for your game or maybe a demo... For now we can only see some basic things of your game... I wait for more...
For the moment the best one you can buy is the version 5 of airlinesimulation.
in couple of time the version 6 suppose to be release but.... Waiting....

Trust me, I'm waiting too. In the mean time, there is far more done than what is on the web site, by the way... it was just odd that weak imitations of my features kept cropping up in another game so I stopped posting updates to the site.

We had some funding issues that have caused me to have to haul in cash in other ways for the moment.
We are still trolling for publishers, though. If that doesn't come through soon, we will be trying to do a non-commercial release product that will be significantly stripped down from the original design document. It would end up somewhere between that A6 is and the killer game that it is going to be.
Once that is released (self-published) and we get momentum and a user base, it will be a lot easier to secure the publishing deal ($600,000 - $1,000,000) that we would need to do the full product.
Again, sorry for the delay.

Last I heard from Efzed was another 6-7 weeks, but they are so bad with release dates, it might be 12-14 weeks.

I'm not aware of any sites that you can buy Airline from except for their Australian based headquarters. By the looks of it you get Airline 5.1 now for 76.95 AUD after international shipping.

I'm glad to hear there is such a game on the market. All I ever see are simulator games and I'm awful at them. I try, but I can never seem to keep my plane in the air.
An airline management game strikes me as a challenge worthy of my time and effort. My dream is to one day start my own airline. Can't think of a better way to get prepared for such a venture than trying one of the management simulation games.

v6 will run on only on XP. v5.1 is the last upgrade for sub-XP. Its the best game out there, just a few gripes.
-More bugs then Yosemite National Park.
-No sale features.
-Unrealistic pay rates. ($10.00 an hour for a flight attendant?)
-Mileage based fares. (PHL-JFK target price: $16.00)
-No competition.
-Make money flying almost anything any where.
-PAX really don't care about price. You can't really run a RyanAir type airline.

I once played Airline Tycoon! Funny game, but unfortunately i got the cheat codes too quickliy, and then killed the fun of the game by making Emirates-like orders of planes, and then it stopped to be interesting
I believe the current version is airline tycoon first class with air cargo etc incorporated.

Airline Online is really the only one out there. We have been hearing about Innocuous Fox's supposed game now for months and while I wish him well, he doesn't have a real product to sell, just a beefed-up set of ideas and screenshots, actually, which means zip in the real world. Show us a release that works, InnocuousFox and we'll test/try it, for sure.
Airline Online has bugs, as does Airline (the PC version by the same company), yes, but the parent company updates and patches regularly and tries very hard to make things work for their very large user base.
All computer airline management sims have the problem that eventually they grow too easy. A long time ago, Aerobiz was a game I had on my SEGA which fascinated but also grew too easy once you learned its quirks. Point: Everything becomes easy once you learn the tricks of the trade and get good at it.
