Hi all,
I currently use FS 2004 to keep my instrumental skills fresh, (and to be able to fly on rainy days ) but I have also been hearing good things about X-Plane, it being a good IFR platform and with more realistic flight dynamics than FS 2004.
X-Plane isn't available here in Iceland so I have never gotten a chance to try it out.
I would greatly appreciate any comments from people who have tried both sims.
Regards, Bragi

I agree...I had X-Plane and all the airports and cities looked the same to me.
That being said, it does also feature some nice range of aircraft, including the B-52, B-1, and SR-71!
It also allows you to begin a flight during the final approach with any flight, which is a nice way to learn landings without the taxiing and taking off. Although, in reality, obviously one would need the latter in order to achieve the first.
So mainly I definitly say, if you have FS 2004, stick with it. Much more realistic and scenery is more unique city to city.
Just my two cents worth.
