Basically what you need to have is Flight Simulator (Any version). Then if want you can even fly online with real ATC if you register with IVAO or VATSIM. The software’s needed to fly online are given in detail if you visit their website. Well it’s simple to join VA. Most of the ones you just have to register online and then they will give you timetable and schedule on where to fly to and all. After flying you can enter the PIREP (Pilots Report) at the website of the VA to log you hours of flight and route. Some VA’s have strict regulations that you have to pass their practical exams or tutorials before flying with them. Well you don’t have to worry about internet connection speed. I have been using normal dialup connection ever since I started flying in VA’s in 1999.But if you have a faster connection its better. When you join a VA make sure that its regularly updated and has an efficient management. The aircraft you need to fly according to their schedules can be downloaded from the corresponding VS’s fleet section or else you can download it from other sources as well. These are all those things which you need to keep in mind before joining the VA. Hope it helps you in some way. All the best for you HPA320.

Best Wishes,
George

So you are looking for a VA? Good internet is good and so is the fast computer, but most importantly you need an current version of FS.
If you do not wish to fly online, there are VAs that cater for that as well. I suggest taking a look at a.net VA which is not officially related to this site, but many of the staff are members here (hence it was how the name was started). They fly a wide variety of routes worldwide with many aircraft.
You can find them at www.flyingcolours.tk

Happy flying

Well to fly online you have to register with IVAO. http://www.ivao.com. Then just download a few software’s from their site and install it and follow the tutorials necessary to begin online flight. That is it

Well, I already got an ID on VATSIM.

I think I just need to get a better computer for starters.

Thanks.

If it can run FS then you'll be fine.

Well, mine is a Pentium 1 and when I tried to run FS-2000, it just wasn't enough.

Now, imagine the 2004 version. That's waaaay too much for my computer.

New computer is a must now.

Thanks.

When you buy your computer, be sure that the graphics card can take FS 2004. Because Mine could not and I ended up spending nother $100NZ getting it upgraded, annoying because it too a week to do due to backlogs at the shops.
