I;ve always known that the option to sim together online is a possibilty but never knew how to do it, etc.

I want to attempt to do it soon. Are there any things I should know in advance in order for it to work?

Also, can I sim online with someone using FS2002 if I have FS 2004?

Fire away with comments. It sounds like a cool idea, simming online.

Hello Mirrodie  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

For the best and most realistic online experience get a mic and register with http://www.vatsim.net (Although you need a non-free e-mail address i.e no hotmail)

You can be either a controller or pilot and fly very realistically with other simmers. Can be used for both FS2002 and FS2004. Simming with someone is nice for a bit of fun but simming on Vatsim is both realistic and professional.

Encounter any problems , dont hesitate to e-mail me  Smile

Go to the zone.com

- Create a user name, "its free".

-The Zone will guide you thru the small but necessary downloads.

-If you are use FS9 - then go into the 2004 room

-If you are using FS2002 then go into a 2002 etc.

Don't expact much thou, lol

id do some more research before you give it a try tho.

I hear that Vatsim is very good. It is just very confusing downloading all the bits and pieces and not having ptoper instructions. However, I hear that once you start on it, it is all downhill.
I suggest dropping SA006 an email, he is vety knowlegable on this topic.

Yes Mirrodie, if you have FS2004, and one of your friends has FS2002, you can still fly together.

As for online simming, the easiest method is www.zone.com. As said above, just signup, download the one file, and the rest is simple.

Good luck, and may the skies be with you!

P.S. When you really start getting good try joining some Virtual Airlines. Email me if your interested or need any information  Wink/being sarcastic Good Luck!

I seriously don´t recommend the "zone.com" as its full of kids! "vatsim.net is good very professional and you can learn a lot, but be warned it is very addictive.
