Hi, I recently bought Flight Simulatior 2002 professional and the frame rates on it are terrible. It is slow and just generaly isnt working properly.
So I put the graphics to lowest and It had virtually no affect on the proformance, so I figured out that it has to be my computer.
My computer is-
15 GB hardrive
56 Mb of RAM (or 64MB...im not to sure)
Anyway, I am thinking of getting Windows upgrade to upgrade my Windows 98 to Windows XP, but im not sure if it will make my computers proformance increase enough to run Fs 2002 or Fs2004.
Does anyone know from my computers information now, what it will be like after I get the Upgrade.

There's a great free program available from AVSIM, made by Ken Salter who is the AVSIM Forums Manager. It's called FS Autostart, and it automatically shuts down processes that aren't needed when FS starts, and then starts them up when FS is closed, thereby conserving processor power for FS itself. Not sure if it works with FS2k2 though.

My specs are P4 3ghz, 120GB hard drive, 1024mb RAM, Nvidia FX 2500 256mb and running Windows XP pro, FS 2002 is excellent on this but sometimes i have problems, but it just shows you that there are some systems that meet the requirements, but some programs don't work well on that system. Also, before running any programs like FS, your PC should have double the recommended sysyem requirements.
