Does anyone know if there are any large static or kit models of the B747 or Concorde available ? Maybe 1/72 scale or bigger or in a remote control type with duct fan engines.
Thanks.

A few months ago I saw on German tv (N24) the first flight of a (totally home-made including the jet engines) r/c 747.
The beast had IIRC a 5+ meters wingspan and needed 3 people to carry it.

NWADC9,

No, this was in Germany, there was a crew of 6, the team leader (aka staffel furher), the POC, the ground engineers frame and engines, the ATC and the voluptuous blond barmaid to keep everyone wet.  Big grin

AFAIK France is the only country in Europe that allows RC Aircraft of a large size to be flown without the need to contact ATC so my guess is that someone needed to talk to ATC whilst in Germany because of the sheer size of the aircraft.

I saw a large RC Concorde on TV a few weeks ago, damn it looked good, I also saw a painfully large KL 777 on TV too but that must have been a static one since it was so big.
