I recently bought a DL MD-11 on ebay, in the '97 colors. I set is aside for about 2 weeks before taking it out to get a good look at it and upon finally opening it, I noticed that on the left side, the widget is missing in front of Delta Air Lines. It took me a few minutes to notice, but by looking at the side, something just didn't look right. When I finally did notice, I thought, "Darn, the decal has fallen off" before it hit me, Geminijets doesn't use decals. The widget just wasn't painted on.
This is the first time this has happened to me with any Geminijet or Dragon Wing model, as they are the highest quality in scale. My question is, do you think this is actually worth keeping, as it would be worth more, or no? I know that many collection pieces actually fetch more money when they are defective or improperly put together.
Anyone have any guesses or similar experiences? I am a bit disappointed, but also a bit intrigued.

It's not a defect per say, but all of the Dragon Wings Eastern Airlines A300s are painted in a livery that eastern never used on the 300.
As for the DL MD-11 in the NOC, Mine has the Widget on both sides. So you might have some luck if you sell it. If you can find a buyer that collects errors. I'd say just enjoy that you found one thats a little diffrent.

I remember once someone was selling a VS 744 on eBay that said only "Virgin Atl" on one side and it went for $300 or so. I'd say that if it bothers you, e-mail or write to GeminiJets so that they'll send you a replacement and sell the defective one on eBay.
