What's the difference between ProjectAI's Deluxe and Lite packages?

Flying an aeroplane with only a single propeller to keep you in the air. Can you imagine that? -Capt. Picard

Lite packages only include the most recent standard scheme of the airline

Deluxe packages include special paint schemes, all in service schemes, etc...

So Delta lite only has the deltaflot scheme

Delta Deluxe has Landor, Widget and Deltaflot, along with the olympics schemes, etc...

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

As an example, if you were to select the Delta Airlines AI package:

Deluxe: Your flying experience in and out of ATL will be difficult. In real time, you may find yourself sitting in a queue of 30 minutes+ for takeoff. During landing, you should expect to deal with plenty of AI aircraft attempting to land at ATL. Framerates will also take a hit esp. in ATL.

Lite: Flying at ATL will be a more pleasant experience. The schedules have been trimmed, reducing ground/landing time and improving framerates..

errrm, no the schedules are exactly the same, except for the aircraft flying them.

You may see slightly better framerates using Lite as the number of textures being loaded is reduced by 66% for Delta.

Having just visited PAI, it appears they removed the schedule reduction "lite" package (last update was in 2003, and I still had an earlier version w/ the DL 727s). I had this package for 2002 (and it worked like a charm without having to haggle with the AI percentage toolbar and cancelling out service from select spoke cities), but now I run on UltimateTraffic.
