Bully,
There is actually three different Traffic packages to choose from, and I can't seem to figure out which is the better one. As you already said, UT, My traffic, and the last is called Traffic 2004.
There is more than just an addition of aircraft and livery traffic, but also some utilities and other extras. I say that you read about all of them and see which has the extras you like the most. And when you have the answer, let me know what you like the most!

Quoting LHRman (Reply 1): Get on VATSIM http://www.vatsim.net and fly online, its as easy as ever and we have a fantastic client now to use.
That is as real as it gets (real ATC), try it out, its free Big grin.
Thanks Dave Big grinD
"Good morning Dave!"

Hey!!
I'll do that!!!
It'll take some time though...late shifts are making it impossible for me to do some simming...as I tend to sleep long in the morning!!!

Hey Bernd,
Sorry took so long to reply, but it's the weeekend you know.
Ok let me give you the rundown:
-VATSIM (Someone mentioned): Yes, great realistic ATC and lots of people flying... into JFK, ORD, LHR and that's it... Go fly in the Middle East, South America, Africa and you'll be lucky if you even get a controller! Plus the realism will go down when you see a group flight of BA A319's doing the JFK-ROA sector! The pro is that it's free!
-Traffic 2004: It has 1/4 of the scheduled flights that UT has (100,000 compared to 400,000). I say it has about 1/11 of the airlines (67 compared to 800!!!). It has unrealistic a/c such as the A380 that is not yet in service, so it must also have unrealistic schedules. Source
-My Traffic: I don't understand how it says it generates around 2,450,000 flights weekly (or 350,000 daily). Well, duh! If UT generates 400,000+ flights daily then it must generate 2,800,000 weekly flights! They do however cover a few more airports and have a few more liveries than UT, but check out their screenshots! AA MD-80 is not silver, not gray... WHITE! WTF? As in Traffic 2004, they also include the A380 which is not in service yet. Source
-Live Traffic 2004: Only use this if you fly exclusively in the US and Canada, because those are the only two countries they cover.
Bernd, I believe the best bang for your buck is UT. And you can download it from their website right away! The schedules are current as of last December and they come with updates about every 4-5 months (most of the times free, sometimes they charge $5). Check out all their features here

Bernd,
I bet you will ask yourself how you flew without UT before? I've already paid $5 for the December update (your version should have already the current schedules).
Let me know what you think about it and if you need any help with the program let me know.

Bully,
Quoting Bully707 (Reply 5): Dreamer...!!! You read this????
Let's go and use UT!!!!
Actually, I can't make up my mind. I like My Traffic also since it has military traffic also. I will later get a F-16 (since I used to work on them in earlier life) and then it will be nice to visit other military bases in Europe.
Anyone have any experience with My traffic?
Also I need to see which one has better coverage of Norway as I love flying around up here, such beautiful scenerey and short flight, pluss lots of difficult airstrips between mountains, water and heavy weather!
What I can't seem to find is good scenery/mesh of Norway!!!! I'll have to search in the freeware section. Any one know of any? I currently have Norwegian airports (freeware) and Scandinavian Airports 2, but they are so few, and you got to have one or the other not both

Quoting Dreamer (Reply 10): He, he Bully, just admit it, I convinced you, the idea of seeing an AWACS at the airport sounded to good! I am leaning that way myself.
Forgot to ask, when do you get it, and when you do please let us know what you think.
Hmm...never looked at it that way!!!
You may be right....an E-3 as ai...??? Not a bad thought!!!

Dreamer & Bernd,
Now I see the reason why you two opted for My Traffic.
I am not into military aviation as I am into civilian, however I would not mind seeing a few C-130s or Globemasters (gotta love those) every once in a while.
Do you two know where I can get a package to add these to FS9?

Stefano,
I don't know of any package, but last night I was looking around for some scenery/mesh for Norway (found LAGO) and military aircrafts ,I ran across som IA aircrafts. I can't remember if they were just repaints or complete aircrafts. I think you might give it a try searching for it.
