Hello, Im Julian McCoy, CEO of Regency Airways.
Regency Airways is a Miami based Virtual Airline with flights to the Caribbean, Mexico, and select cities in the eastern U.S. and Canada. We would like to announce that our website is now open for visitors to take a peak at what is to come. There are a few finnishing touches that need to be completed, however we felt comfortable with showing the public the site as it is now. The pilot sign up form is available to anybody who wishes to join Regency, but I must remind you that we are not open for full operations yet and expect to be within the next coming weeks.

You have a great website there, it is modern and great to read. I like your livery and you destinations. I don't fly with VAs anymore, I just fly with myself.
Good Luck with the Airline and I hope it Takes Off

First of all, I really love your painjob. Second of all, this is the first VA that I have seriously thought about joining. However, I have never flown online, and I am not sure what exactly I need to join. I am confused about the training, although I have many, many Flightsim hours by myself. Also, am I allowed to pick what aircraft I fly. I would prefer the ERJ, just because I am not sure I have enough time currectly to do the 737 routes. Thanks.

We do not require you to fly online on VATSIM, however it is encouraged. The main reason why we are pushing it right now is because we need ten active pilots registered in VATSIM in order to become established with them. But we do not require you to fly online. We do offer training for those who are not familiar with flying online and with online ATC operations. All begining pilots who come in with no past Ve hours start with the ERJ135 and then thay may move to other aircraft once they bump up to second officer. As far as requirements to join are concerned, the main one is to be either 13 years or older. Other than that, you will need the latest flightsim software. I hope this makes clears things up a bit, if you want more info as far as pilot policies are concerned you can download the pilot handbook from the website.
Thank you,
Julian

On last question, do you have to do training. I personally don't think I need it.

Well, that really depends on your checkride. If you show a good amount of proficiency, you may not need anything beyond that first session. The majority of this is at the discretion of our training director though.
