Iam taking up this challenge in reply to Europeans 747 landing at LCY.
I will attempt to fly a AN-225 (with the Russian space shuttle) to LCY and attempt a landing. This is the first time I have done screenshots so please bear in mind I am still learning.
Please note that if you want to put up your screenshots please start you own thread, otherwise the people who dont have fast broadband miss out.
Right, my flight starts off in LHR preparing for take-off, Have to use the full length of the runway just for precautions.
Here are a few pretake-off photos:
Rolling Down the active runway at LHR
Beging our climb out of LHR
oops forgot to turn on the AI
nearly at our cruise altitude
Cruising over central london
Gear down nearly on final approach
Final approach (millenium dome to the right)
Am i too low ?
Just made it over !
Touch down !
With runway to spare !
Thank you for looking at my thread. The next one iam planning to do is LCY-LHR is that possible ?, we will have to see.

Great landing there ITA350, look forward to the return leg, it is possible, but only just! I also like to challenge myself on FS, with what I can land and take off from PLH (1249m runway - bit shorter than LCY), few screenshots below although I admit there not great.

Quoting European (Reply 6): Great screenshots, U should start your own thread Smile Or Maybe ITA350 can say we can post screenshots from LCY Smile LOL
Sorry about that, meant to say post. Although I do welcome you to add your heavy aircraft take-offs and landings at LCY . The next challenge as I said before was to take-off from LCY with a AN-225. That should come very soon.

Ah, sorry ITA350, did not read that bit, I have been putting in the hours on a project so haven't had much sleep. As its aviation related I might post some pics when its done. Good luck with the take off
