Hello! I am looking for recommendations!
Now that I have gotten my computer squared away I am looking for help in terms of what to buy for my FS. Where do I get xp, what add-on's, a/c, etc. that can even come close to what these crazy guys have in their screenshot threads. I don't want to spend too much but go as though there is a slightly restricted budget.

There are tons of freeware a/c and most (if not all) can be found at avsim.net and flightsim.com, just search for ifdg (narrow body 'buses, 767s, MD11s), MelJet (777, 744), and POSKY (widebody 'buses, boeings).
For AI traffic I recommend Ultimate Traffic from flight1.com Then you can change the models and use FSP and Aardvark models, although eventually you might have to use PAI, since they have the most models.

Quoting Jwenting (Reply 4): Far more expensive that way in fact. Software piracy is a criminal offense, as is helping people commit criminal offenses.
He meant buying it from the Microsoft website and then downloading it....

Could any of you expand on what/where I am to buy these things? I want to have the stuff to install on my G5 when it arrives late next week. Bummer seeing how I am typing away with my printer to my side, Altec Lansing FX6021's booming, and sadly, my flawless 20" Display all without a computer to plug into. But for a double HD upgrade, Duel 2.0 GHz over 1.8, and Tiger I would say it's worth the wait. It was done being built two days ago but I was told it was not allowed to ship until Tiger was released.

I am A fellow Mac user, and my flight setup is X-plane 8.11 with 6 more heavy metal bought or downloaded for free at www.x-plane.org, currently I have the A380, A340, Tristar 250, 747 400, 373-300 (air berlin a very good one!) MD-90 and 777-200, tons of other but these are my main planes.
If you buy a Dual 1.8 ghz G5 be sure to get the Nvidia 6800Gt for Macintosh it lets you put everything Up in resolution and pbjects (heck you can see cars and trucks in the streets as you land...!!!).
I also have a Pc windows machine a Athlon 939 4000+ une gig ram, Nvidia Gt 6800 and I use my flat 22 from apple at 1600 X 1200 and Microsoft Fligthj simulator is no match for MAC/X-plane, in use, features and looks (well the spining fans on FS are cool but thats the only diference...
For you guys playing FS you can download X-plane for free as a trial and check yourself...!!!
