First off, someone was supposed to do a project for me. He kept in touch with pictures and everything. It was nearly done. And now all of a sudden, he's dropped off the planet.
So I'm tired of waiting. I'm going to attempt to do it myself.
Anyway, can any of you maybe offer up some tips on working with decals? From what I can see, lots and lots and lots of patience is required. I attempted to do one model, complete with stripes, logos, and doors/windows. And the whole time, they were tearing, curling, bubbling, and just basically not cooperating. I finally got fed up, scooped up the whole project (model kit, paints, decals, and all) in a wad of newspaper and threw it in the garbage.
What am I doing wrong? Or is warping, curling, and tearing just part of the game, and having lots and lots of patience is a necessity-of which I don't have much of?
Also, can anyone steer me to a place that I can find a good selection of airliner decals-especially 1:200 scale...and doors and windows for all types?
