Any A.netters Interested In Multiplayer FS?

OK, OK, OK. I know! Sure Vatsim exists, but I thought it would be cool if we could get some a.netters together who all like multiplayer FS, and all fly together once in a while. I did some flying today with a few a.netters, and it was a blast, and would love to expand it.

So, anyone interested? Please make sure you have FS2004 and a microphone. If you like the concept in general, just post below. If we get enough interest we can maybe set up a time to all fly together, and have some fun. Post any comments below.

Also, any experinced Air Traffic Controllers who could take the job once a while?

Thanks Folks!

We had a fly-in recently, and plan on having one again pretty soon. That's probably just what you're looking for.

And yeah, we have ATC.

Edit: OK, thanks I found it. It seems like this is just an infrequent event. I mean something more frequent, but on a smaller scale. I am talking about a total of maybe eight people. So if anyone is interested, let me know. We will probably be playing multiplayer tonight, and would like a few more people.

Well, if you tell me the utc time and the exact data to join you (heck I've never done multiplayer before!) then I'll be there!

I am trying to arrange a time for tonight, sometime that is agreeable upon by some West Coast folk. So, do you have a mic? Also, do you have AIM, because then I could try to explain it to you?

Thanks,
Bravo

OK well... since I'm in Europe this would be 0400 in the morning... so I guess I'm not in. But anyway, I would love to join in another time. BTW my AIM name is Seven47, in case somebody is ever looking for a quick FS multiplayer partner... basically I'm online pretty much all the time, and basically when I'm online I could arrange a quick half hour of flying. Except when it's 0400 AM!

Oh and yes I do have a mic.

Ok, thanks. I added you to my buddy list. FYI, we have some ATC'ers, but could always use different ones to rotate. If you want to join us tonight let me know, because I do not see you online. My AIM is aschlappig.

So I assume the fly-in will be in two hours. What aircraft should we use and what server will we connect to for the multiplayer flight?

Correct, in two hours. You can use any default aircraft, preferably the 737, 747, or 777. I will get back about the server in just a bit. Will have everything set up at least 30 minutes prior. Just check this thread again, or do you have AIM?

You did a pretty damn good job, AND you had a mic.

Anyway, if anyone else is interested, we plan on doing this again frequently (I hope). So, if you are interested simply post in this thread or contact me, and we can plan from there.

Well, I might have made a really bad approach twice and I overran the runway at KSNA, but overall, for my first flight on Teamspeak, it went pretty good. We should do this again sometime!  biggrin

Haha I hope you all enjoyed that. I was quite tired actually, and my Air Traffic Controlling abilities were a bit slowed, if anyone noticed. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing, and I hope you all had fun.

Thanks folks! Had a great time again. We flew out of JFK, did some patterns, and headed over to ALB eventually. We decided that we would play again tomorrow (Wednesday, June 22). We will be flying out of NRT, doing some patterns and then heading to KIX, and maybe NGO. We will be flying at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central time. If you are interested please respond.

Thanks to all who participated!

I'd be interested but that's 03:00AM over here in Europe. I need my beauty sleep.  Sad How does this work with multiplayer anyway?
