I found these planes in the new colors for flight simulator 2004, and decided to post some pictures to show you what you can expect MX's new planes to look like. Click the pictures to expand. Models by POSKY, repaints by P.J. Morisson

A330:
A330s are due sometime at the end of this year/beginning of the next, A340's a bit after the A330s. (I expect to be corrected by the APM group )

Quoting Udo (Reply 1): The new colors are just terrible...
Actually, they look quite good in person (saw F-OHML at MIA on Sunday), and I've started to learn to like them. Regarding the screenshots, wasn't Mexicana going to order the A340-500 and not the A340-300, or am I just way off here?

Patience, patience! No official info yet but A330s are certainly getting here! I think MX is getting the 2 GECAS A332s ordered this year. A340s are still not confirmed but being discussed, that's a for sure thing!
Grey belly and new c/s doesn't look that bad in widebodies!

And yes, the old colors are much better. MX has definetly taken a beating with the new colors.

I think they will use the 332s for the MEX-EZE and possibly a destination in the US (JFK?ORD? or even send it once a week to LAX?) The hopeful 340-500s will be used for routes to Asia (China probably a possibility) and maybe Oceania (Australia and NZ). Of course just rumours i have read.

I would like to see Europe before Asia for Mexicana. We'll see.

Under CINTRA ownership, Europe is a protected territory for AM. There were plans for MX to do CUN-MXP but they vanished. Expect EZE to get the A332 daily once the 2 A332's arrive and then expect rotations to ORD, LAX and Canadian cities from time to time depending on loads.
Perhaps the future owners of MX will try to enter the European market. I see room for them in BCN, MUC and perhaps in Italy as well.
