Sun Airways Reveal Plans for New Cargo Subsidiary!
Today at Sun Airways monthly press conference the new CEO, Jamie Taylor revealed plans of the airline’s new cargo subsidiary. The latest member of family will make its first flight on the 12th September 2005. Boeing 747-400ERF’s and Boeing 757-200PF’s will be used for the airlines operations from both London Gatwick and Tokyo Narita and fly to variety of destinations from both bases! The airline will be known as Red Cargo.
‘We feel that it is necessary for the introduction of this new subsidiary as due to the booming economy in Asia we can be sure to make a healthy profit.’ The CEO also said that ‘This subsidiary would have not happened if it wasn’t for the dedicated team which was lead by Matthew Sheedy’.
Also to day the CEO said that Sun Airways will be accruing 2 737-700s and 5 737-800s. The aircraft will all be fitted with winglets and are leased from SLCVA. The CEO said that ‘these new aircraft will allow us to expand both our Domestic and European route networks.’
The airline would also like to welcome Nadine Harkin as the Vice CEO. Nadine is the first female member of the Sun Airway’s staff. She said earlier ‘ I am really excited about becoming the airlines Vice CEO and I am looking forward to working with the team here to help Sun Airways progress even further.’
