I have flown the King Air many times before, but I was just opening it up and it had been awhile since I had flown it, but I couldn't operate the Autopilot except for the altitude because that was all that I could find. How do you operate the Autopilot on the King Air 350 because I know I have used it before but I am just lost!!!! Sorry if this is a silly question!

Time passes, no matter how slowly and painfully it seems, it passes

Well, all i can really tell you is that the HDG change is below the HDG gauge. (An orange Arrow)

Thanks

Maybe this will help you a bit...

As you mentioned, you found the Altitude selector (1) and I am assuming that you also found the main autopilot command (5).

Press the FD [flight director] button on the command panel (5).
To select your climb/descend rate, select the purple knob on the VSI (4), and then press the ALT button on the command panel (5).
To select your heading, select the purple knob on the HSI (2), and press the HDG button on the command panel (5).
To select your course [for ILS and VOR] select the green knob on the HSI (2), and press the APP button on the command panel (5). Make sure the NAV/GPS switch [between 2 & 3] is on NAV.
To follow your flight plan route (GPS) make sure the NAV/GPS switch is on GPS and press the NAV button on the command panel (5).

The King Air doesn't have an auto throttle, so you have to adjust your speed manually.

Hope this helps and enjoy!

Take care,
Patrick
