Quoting QFA380 ( Thread starter): How much do you think it would cost to buy all the good FS expansions for 2004
Probably quite a lot as there are literally hundreds. However, if you want advice on some essentials I'd recommend:
1 - Ultimate Traffic - not sure of the price but expect to pay @ 50-70ish - this is a MUST HAVE if you really want to liven up your FS experience.
2 - The 737-800/900 from PMDG - It hould be noted that these ar not for beginners as they are quite complex and tricky to get used to but once mastered are a joy to fly
3- Use Flightsim.com or Avsim.com for free downloads - well free after you pay a subscription . [Edited 2005-08-04 16:06:34]

Neither require you to pay for subscription, its an option to pay for a First Class Membership.
I'd recommend both sites, and their forums, very highly.

I would recommend FSpassengers along on that list that MarBergi gave. It really adds some fun to
FS and rates your skill with your passenger satisfaction. Good stuff!!!

Be careful with Ultimate Traffic. It's an extremely cool add-on, but it absolutely destroys my frame rates. Make sure your computer can handle it.
The PMDG 737 is the coolest thing since strawberry Twinkies. It's the best $35US you can spend to upgrade your FS. The manual alone will keep you plenty busy for months. But in a good way ...
