hey guys, today I recived a new Grafic card for My pc its a ATI Radeon 800XT Pro one of the best Grafic cards out there, when i start FS i hardly see any changes in the Airport Texture! its not because of the RAM i have 1GB.
Ive played other games with it and the grafics are amazing! but not on FS, so im wondering if i have to change anything on FS9???

Leo, have you gone into your FS display settings and increased quality and the like?
Also, if it is DEFAULT airports (see NOT ADD-ONS) there may be minimal changes..

All your card will do is increase frame rates and maybe add certain features. Textures are made up of bitmap images that are what they are, so it can never look too different, just perhaps smoother looking and faster running

Personally, I doubt he'll need to reinstall Flight Sim. The built-in scenery in FS9 isn't much to look at. The fact that you didn't see any improvement in texutre quality isn't suprising.
The one thing that you wont have a problem with is framerates. When i ditched my fx5200 for an ATI 9800 pro, the difference was incredable. The scenery didn't change much, but i jacked the anti-aliasing up all the way, and i have all but 2 sliders maxxed out.
