Does anyone know how long Northwest intends to keep their DC-10s in operation? I know they have recently repainted these aircraft to the new NWA scheme and this gives me hope for the next 5 or so years.

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Perhaps you should post this in Civil av. May i also suggest that you do a search in Civil Av prior to posting. Your answer in all likelihood has been posted in a past thread.

Regards,

I believe they are being replaced with the A330. But only when they come upon problems were it is not cost effective to fix. All the DC-10 have been paid for, and now that they have filed Ch. 11 they will probably fly a bit longer!
