Are there any airline enthusiasts out there that know where I can get a hold of the theme song of United Airlines TV commercial? I think it's a jazz song - maybe not. It's mostly piano. Everytime I see the commercial and hear the song I can't help it but smile. Does anyone know if this is an actual song and if yes, what is the title of the song and who composed it?

Yeah it is great. I think the good part is in the 13th minute of the song. I listen to it all the time. It makes me grin every time I hear it.

Thank you all for all the help! I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who likes the song. I went to Napster and downloaded two versions one of them is 1:08 minute long and the other one is 2:45 minutes long. Just type in "United Airlines theme" as the title and it should come up. By the way, I play the song over and over too.

Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin....First Performed live (on radio) by Paul Whiteman in 1924. You might be able to find the entire version as re-recorded by Whiteman in the 30's.

The theme song that Delta used like 2 years ago is called "Adiemus" by Adiemus. I know that because its on my mom's Pure Moods CD. That's the only other one that I know besides United's.

That Delta commercial is really good. It's one of the best airline commercials I've seen. It's very interesting the way the B767s fly in formation in comparison to the dolphins. To get it go to:

TWA used "Up, Up and Away" by the 5th Dimension in the 70's. (Get out your polyesther and boogie shoes!). Before that most airlines had their own jingles written for them with original scores.
"Fly the American Way...American Airlines"
"Delta is ready when you are"
and so on.
United began using Rhapsody in Blue around 10 years ago to the best of my recollection. Why not drop their PR dept. an email and ask!

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if somebody would be kind enough to send me the United Theme song. As you all know, the "true" Napster is gone. I have the original Rhapsody in Blue but that's like 30 min long. Also, I have Asiana Airlines theme song if anybody would like to have that...we can trade.

What about the safety videos? I got some from HA, NWA, AA, and DL, plus some older airlines from this guy he put on a DVD. They are nice but he needs the UA ones. Os there a way to get them on a Video or DVD to buy or keep?

Ok, never mind. After waiting and searching for it...I finally figured it out. I edited my original "Rhapsody in Blue" using Audacity (great program!) and reproduced that last one minute block.
For those who want it, I can send it to you and also the Asiana theme music, which is used as their boarding music.

Hey guys -
Would it be possible to send me the United Airline theme song. I can't find it on Napster and was wondering if somebody could send me the song via E-mail or Mail, whatever is easiest.

In United's latest commercial "A Life" they use some other piece and then cut into "Rhapsody in Blue", does anyone know what it is? That commercial is so well done.
