Thats the best the FS9 ATC gets
If u want real stuff I suggest you fly online, with other pilots and people acting as ATC, by voice.
Here are the main websites: www.vatsim.net for USA flying www.ivao.org for European flying.

Do you fly under IFR or VFR? If you do it VFR try IFR. But I'm not a expert in this game, ther are alot of people on this site that are.

File an IFR flight plan. If you dont know what that is than you should not go on VATSIM just yet. VATSIM is very realistic and you need a good amount of ATC and procedure knowledge. When you make a flight plan just chose IFR and correct Cruise Alt and there you go. You get IFR Clearance and everything. ATC will direct to your airport with Vectors. From Takeoff to Landing.

Well thats actually great! You should just know what approaches and what alot of the stuff means approaches, depatures ect.... Be able to use IFR Charts. But since you listen to ATC often than you should be able to get a hang of it. Go to the Vatsim site to know more. I never used Vatsim I wish I had the time to set it up.

Well if that is the case what else do I need to get started? Is there classes or some thing that I have to go to just to fly?
Thanks,
Nick

If you want to do VATSIM in IFR, you need to know how to do STARS, SIDS and IAPs and be able to follow jet and victor airways. It's really not that hard if you have all the charts and stuff. There are tutorials on that on the vatsim website.
VFR in VATSIM is really boring IMHO, but if you want to get a taste of VATSIM, start out doing VFR patterns at a towered airport.

Hey guys,
For all the US charts go here www.naco.faa.gov then look at the left and go to free online products and then to the first option below products, then scroll down and click digital terminal procedures and choose the airport!
Cheers!
