Nav 1 is set via the FMC, and to put a flightplan plan in the FMC is like any other.. U enter a dep airport, then a SID, then the next waypoint then an airways, then waypoint etc.

The operating manual for the PMDG 747-400 is on the free disc attached to the latest issue of PC Pilot which came through my letterbox yesterday.

Can you get hold of that in Germany Leo?

You should definitely get hold of the manual - that 747 isn't something you can just step into and take for a joyride.

The L, R and C autopilots are just 3 separate autopilots - pick one. When you enter Approach mode, all three will automatically be selected.

Nav tuning is handled automatically if you have a flight plan in the FMC. To get a flightplan into the FMC, you'll need to read the manual!
