I hope my post helped. If you need any help, just ask. Sorry about the gap before my table. I tried to take you through the Southern Hemisphere, but then I realized I won't be able to take back to America. Thus, your journey will take place in the Northern hemisphere. I would suggest a plane with a little more range than a Mooney (maybe a Learjet).

Thanks for all the help Btriple7. I just looked at the range and your right I should look at something else. Maybe I'll do it in the King Air (if I want to take it slow). Do you know of any single engine plane that has the range? Maybe if I want it go fast I'll do it in the Lear 35. Thanks for all the help.
Thanks,
Nick

I have never done it in a plane that small, but I did once do it in a BA 747-400....all Scheduled flights, and two legs as "pretend" code-shares with AA and QF. My routing was BOS-LHR, LHR-HKG, HKG-SYD(QF opp. by BA), SYD-LAX(QF opp. by BA), LAX-BOS(AA opp. by BA).
You'll have such a fantastic time, its so much fun! From the routings that Btriple7 has supplied, you will be able to see the whole world. In my case, I had to find scheduled flights operated by BA partners, and do my best to find routes operated by a 744....however, in your case you have the freedom to fly anywhere you want, so take advantage of that. My trip took me about 5 days to complete, and be prepared for yours to take quite a while should you decided to make all the stops listed above. Another suggestion i have is to make a flight plan; IE departure time, estimated arrival time, etc...This adds realism and creates a schedule that you have to go by to keep the following segments on-time. Just a little fun!
Best of luck, and I would love to see your final routings/flight plan if possible! Please keep in-touch!

I've been flying the iFDG MD-11 (use the charter and cargo so I don't have the hassle of having to fly real routes all the time). I've sometimes changed planes but always flown point to point with no breaks. Also it's not a very direct route and the hops are generally under 1000NM...
http://hornet.demon.nl/rtw2004.htm here's the tour I'm currently flying (server may not always be available). The two very long trans-Pacific legs may be too much for your Mooney though, unless you simulate carrying ferry tanks
4th tour is currently in early stages of planning, and will likely be flown using the WoP P-51

Will do. My laptop crap out so it might be some time before I can do the trip. I have done it ones in a 777 but I don't remeber the route. I was looking last night for some other plane to do the trip in or that has more range than the Moonye. So I think I'm going to do it in a Pilatus PC12. They say here that it has a range of 1600nm to 2260nm. So that should be fine. Thanks for all the help.
Thanks,
Nick

Ok I was at the airport today and found what I'm going to do the trip in (but I'm sure that will change before I do the trip). I'll do it in a Mitsubishi MU-2.

I just completed a round the world flight of my own, except it was not as planned out as you are looking at. I just hopped in my Dornier 228 and flew west, well I had one 767 flight from LAX to HNL. After that it was all D228 as I hopped around with no real flight plan. I really enjoyed flying through Nepal i that Dornier 228.
Now I am flying through the Nunavut Territory in Canada, and I am also writing some flightplans for Canadian Air Force C130s and other aircraft to fly up there with me.

My around the world flight was fun, but I really enjoyed my flights in Nepal and in the Alps. However the flights that I am doing now are equally as interesting. Flying in the Arctic is a challenge...darkness, poor visibility and mostly VFR flying.

In the arctic? How is that possible? you mean around the north pole or what? are there any airports or airstrips on the north pole or in the real world?
