I been looking for this carsh site for a couple of years now and was finally able to find it. The reports I've read said that the C-119 crash site was on Pallet Mountain when it's actually on Pleasant View Ridge over a mile away. This Fairchild C-119C crashed on 9/30/66 in bad weather, it's four man crew didn't survive the crash. Some of you may notice that this is the model of aircraft used in the movie Flight Of The Phoenix. Photos at http://community.webshots.com/album/525306527dzwwSq

Sad to see such a magnificient bird like the good ole C-119 crashed up like that. It is one of my most favorite vintage cargo planes.

Is it weird I have a RemoveBeforeFlight pitot cover on my car rear view mirror?
