Hi everyone.

I'd like to modify and update some AI flightplans on my sim. I'm asuming one has to use TTool's to modify flight plans which I have. Can anyone help me out with this? For example , I'd like to create a whole new flight from point A to point B with aircraft type , flight number , times , IFR/VFR etc etc.

Thanks,

-SA006  wave

Check out the readme that comes with TTools, it does a great job of explaining all of the ins and outs of making flightplans.

If you want a default 747 to fly from Johannesburg to Cairo you would do
the following:

AC#9,ZK-BBN,99%,24hr,IFR,09:00:00,00:00:00,370,F,0022,HECA,21:00:00,00:00:00,360,F,0023,FAJS

Now what each segment means:

AC#9 - This is the aircraft number assigned to one of the default 747-400s as found in the aircraft.cfg file. The 747-400s are numbers 8 thur 11
ZK-BBN - This is the registration, It can be up to 7 characters
24hr - This is the rotation cycle, can be 1hr,2hr,4hr, 6hr, 8hr, 12hr, 24hr,WEEK
Since the plane is flying from FAJS to HECA, 24hrs is enough time for the plane to takeoff, land Cairo and return to FAJS
IFR- Self-explanatory
09:00:00 - this is the departure time in GMT from Johannesburg
00:00:00 - The complier will complete the landing time, leave as 00:00:00
370- THis is the flight level
F- Always F
0022- The flight number, needs to be four characters
HECA - This is the destination airport
21:00:00 - This is the departure time from CAIRO, The destination airport and return to Johannesburg. In this case I allowed exactly 12 hours from the depature time from Johannesburg.
00:00:00 - The complier will compute the arrival time to Johannesburg
360- Return Flight Level, always 1000 feet less than the flight level on the first leg
F- Always F
0023- The return flight number
FAJS- The airport where the plane originates and returns

This was a single flight plan for one round trip within 24 hours, you can also
put mulitple stops within one flight plan. You can put multiple stops lasting a week by putting numbers to represent the day of the week and you can
also have planes do circles by doing takeoffs and landings at the same airport
